Damnit, I thought this boarding shiz was easy. Or maybe that was the nastiest blue evar?

Meh, further sitrep in a few days, during with my mettle and willpower will be tested. TEH SKIS ARE SO FAST THOUGH.... SO FAST!

Speaking of daft looking boarders, has anyone seen the final of the womens boardercross at the Winter Olympics?

US girl in 1st, way out in front, Swiss in 2nd, 3rd and 4th were Canadians (one crashed, one even further behind), last jump before the final 100m, and the first placed competitor, grabs her board mid air, falls over, Swiss girl over takes, one Gold medal please!

Ahhhh that was better today.

Headed over to another resort because visibility here has been about 50m for days and bought some rather expensive goggles so I can actually *SEE* the snow, and little bumps coming up etc.

Found a couple of superb runs in Megeve including a 1.75km that I managed to do in 3mins 50s at the end of the day... that run involved a real nasty triple-rolling wipeout and two dead-stops to get past ski schools averaging about 18mph, probably a bit more without the stops.

Main observation : beejesus the quality of snow makes so much more difference in a board. And HOTDIGGITY it's fun :)

Bah, final day and it's the first day with sun (we've had snow and blizzards all week) and I have to sit here on the net instead of boarding cos I have twisted my knee (thankfully doesn't seem too bad) coming down a blue at speed in near zero visibility. Wake up call for my confidence getting too high I think :)
