Does anyone ever get that headache .. as in the same sort of pain, but under ONE eye socket.. or behind your eye.
It really hurts and there's nothing you can do about it.

What does it mean?

It means a spider crawled up your nose while you were asleep and laid eggs in your brain. Mwahahaha!

I only get that from one of two things.
1) Eye strain.
2) Extreme tiredness.

Paracetamol helps a little, but the only good way to get rid of it is to rest your eyes properly (that usually means sleep).

For me, that's always tiredness. Usually preceded by aching joints.

Its called Asthenopia - which is basically eye ache.

Its caused by tiredness, and concentrated gaze (ie at a screen or TV in the near or intermediate distance).

Best resolved by resting your eyes for 5-10 minutes per hour, looking away into the distance at a non specific point, or by closing the eyes for 5 minutes per hour to rest them.

Also useful is some decent sleep, usually 8 hours with a steady bedtime and rise time to keep the body on an even keel.

Basically part of your body is tired, do what you would do normally if you were feeling tired, sleep well, eat and drink sensibly and not to any extreme (fat, alcohol, caffeine).

Computer based workers such as call centre workers can suffer easily from it, as can the unfit badly slept and fed LAN goers.

Hope this helps

The most effective remedy for this common affliction is to casually gaze at a healthy, plumptious pair of human female breasts.
