I've just got my hands on one of the green ones and you really do get what you pay for.

The build quality is VERY solid, as it uses AAA batteries its got a nice weight to it as well.
Also, the brightness of the beam is really amazing.

You can see the beam clearly in the dark, but not quite THAT cearly.

That looks like either a 100w beam. circa £260+ for one of those.

Or an over exposed lower rated laser, but theres no way to really tell.

Either way, no i`m not selling those, but these ones are still VERY bright.

Hate to be a party pooper but its illegal to own one of the green lasers as it kicks out more than 1mW :p

Ive looked and while i can find a couple of people saying that there are several different "legal" levels, none of them concur with each other, and none of them are official gvt websites.

The only site i can find that looks official is this...

Yes yes, hardly looks official I know but it sounds bang on as I used to work for a laser company approx. 5 years ago and it was illegal then.

If you look at this UK site selling green lasers:

Notice they don't go above 1mW.

I think it is legal to sell them but it depends on what they are going to be used for...... looks like bit of a grey area. Just say your into Astronomy or something :)

Thats what i was thinking. There are quite a few resellers in the UK selling them, and you can buy them on ebay with ratings up to 300mw... (enough to burn things)...

They do come with a set, however as with most things, they are from a random Thaiwanese manufacturer so dont expect them to last very long.

For the green lasers I reccomend popping down to tesco and grabbing a pack of AAA duracells (oh noes, teh astro turf...) .

For the others i can supply an extra set of batteries for 50p (for 3 batteries).

Yeh, i`m only personally supplying the AG3 batteries, only cos they are harder to get hold of.

As i said, the green lasers come with a set of random AAAs, but you can get decent AAAs anywhere, so i`ll let you figure that one out...

Yeh, as long as you have fairly loose pockets they should be ok... But one or two people have had that problem.

Not really a lot i can do about that... except to say dont put them in a tight pocket.

I personnally havent had a problem with mine, and its on my car-keys keyring which is in my pocket all day everyday, so your milage may vary.

these are god like btw. there were 4 or so of us from all over on the 2nd floor chasing the other lasers along the ceiling.

The range on the little red ones is somewhat amazing too. we can clearly see them down on the racecourse from the 2F.

Had great fun with them last night when we went out drinking. little red dots on the bar staff when they were serving people. People at the bar just bursting in to laughter :D
