Very nice. :)
I recently grabbed this off steam and it is indeed great, and odd. A cross between Cannon Fodder, Lemmings, the film Tron and a quasi-religious storyline.

I believe the point his is trying to make ... and highlighted in the image was that Darwinia with put as being similar to another game .... but was described as being unlike anything else you've ever played, thereby providing an amusing contradiction.

Darwinia has been around for about a year

well maybe no quite a year. but its hardly a new game. Steam are just distro'ing it atm. Made by the same people who made Uplink. i Really like this company. the games they make seem to be ALL ABOUT GAME PLAY
i mean Uplink had bugger all really. but the game play was ACE (i also refer you to NetHack ;))
Darwinia is a Set up in Graphics. but the game play and story line are just as good :)

the graphics style is really making and advantage out of their weakness. no team of artists to make ultra-high detail scenes? no problem, make low-detail the design. and it works. it also gives some of the more traditional RTS concepts a change, which is actually fun to work with.

I hear the guys that made this are working on another similar game with a Risk element to it. The name escapes me atm but im sure someone will find it somewhere :)
