Here are the dates we can get the venue for in the May-July period. Need quite a quick turnaround on the poll before we decide, so I'll set it to end on Friday.

6-7 May (weekend after SLAN 27)
13-14 May
8-9 July (weekend after SLAN 28)

Multiple choice poll. Make your preferred option(s) known!

Hehe. Well the forum description pretty much sums it up:
"WoWLAN
A LAN devoted to World of Warcraft. See inside here for discussions on dates and event ideas."

im not asking how to cheat as i was not aware of n e ways, i was just confused at 1) how i can cheat if ive not been playing for 3 months and 2) i thought it was impossible to cheat on a mmorpg.

never mind :) looks like WoW Lan will not be for me :(

got to be may by far the best choice no lans to clash with,

but im still scheptical about how this event is going to work, mainlly the point of we would all need characters in the smae place.

I don't see the whole chars in the same place thing being an issue...... reckon it would just be good to have everyone in the same room regardless and you can then prop yerself up at the bar and discuss classes, talent trees, armour sets etc etc. with other WoW players :)

Diakatarnis

has this been done for any other mmorpg games?

Another thing oculd be to start everyone from say mid 20s and see just how far you can get in a weekend as a group. Perfect for newbies who are only just hitting 20, and not redundant for people with 60s as another alt is always nice :) And before anyone kills me, I'm not suggesting thats what EVERYONE should do for the entire LAN :)

well can i suggest that we commence lvling on darksorrow?

just started a new horde division of the alliance guild im a member of. so this leveling business is the norm a the mo.

Most of the MPUK players have horde characters.
I would have thought they'd want to go alliance but you never know.

I don't mind, but can we choose one so I can actually hit a decent level. I'm notoriously slow with the levelling :)

Everytime I start an alliance character WoW will continuously crash on my PC :/

i have the following

lvl 17 undead warlock

lvl 34 dwarf warrior
lvl 12 elf hunter
lvl 16 human mage

for me ive done enough alliance. i would prefer to be horde.

im gonna have either a tauren shaman or a troll rogue.

Alliance ftw, the chars are pretty, unlike horde ones ;)

Clearly gnomes are the best. That is all I have to say on the matter :p

I have

Horde:

Level 60 Rogue
Level 60 Mage
Level 20 Warlock
Level 34 Druid
Level 15 Shaman

Alliance:

Level 34 Warlock
Level 24 Paladin

Personally, i'd rather do high level content at the LAN as well as do event for 'mid-levels'.

There's no point doing a 'start at level 20 and see where you get to' kind of thing.. as the answer is ~30 assuming you played all weekend.

I'm in favour of doing in game 'fun' events (such as Treasure Hunt) as well as doing Raids (i.e. some level 60 content).

If we do use a new server... we can co-ordinate a bit so that everyone has enough gold to level quickly.
