I can connect to the bf2rcon only side of the rcon with no problems but am unable to connect to the bf2ccdaemon - is there something i haven't added in clan forge for our server ie a password or an edit i may not have done? I take it the ip and port remain the same for both?

Actually no there are two passwords. Full and Basic. Basic allows things like kick, ban.

ok have set a basic password using clan forge for the rcon. It fails to connect, yet the admin password works fine. I take it the port - ip are the same as the admin for the basic?

does this mean you cant use the In-game admin commands on multiplay servers?????

by in-game admin i mean the useful commands that you can do int he ingame chat using the ! at the begine, e.g. !help

Is this at all possible on multiplay servers or should i stick withthe 3rd party rcon packages?

This is something Im looking for someone to test as we've created an additional ModManager module which enables full in game admin.

If you would like to test this please raise a tick on support.multiplay.co.uk.

Clanforge doesn't support the BF2CC Daemon

Sorry to be thick here, but is there any particular reason for this?

The Daemon is far better and gives the in game admins much more flexibility. I would love to see us have the choice. :icon15:
