Hi folks, I have decided to sell my trusty Kodak DX6490 Ultra zoom camera. Due to going away with woman at the end of this month and having NO intentions of taking any pictures at all since I am going home, she will be the one on holiday, she will be taking them all. However she cannot take pictures to save her life without shaking them all over the place so an idiot-proof camera is in order for or she will have no holiday snaps that we can can make out ;).
This is a very good camera as reviews show and I have had it for bang on 2 years now. Great condition and comes with a load of bits for it. 10x Optical zoom with 4x Digital zoom on top of that. Fully boxed and instructions etc are immaculate, never used. All cables that came with it are provided, nothing at all had been lost. Good quality pics and the night vision is outstanding, making it easy to see what the hell you are pointing at. The auto orientation on the pics is a bonus too.
You will get the following:
1x Kodak DX6490 Camera
2x Kodak High Power rechargeable Battery pack
1x 6000 Series Camera Dock (charges and also links to PC at the press of 1 button)
1x Kodak Executive DX6490 Leather case (Compact yet manages to hold additional battery and memory cards)
1x 128MB MMC (SD Size) Memory card
1x 8MB MMC Memory Card
1x Compact AC Quickcharger
No scratches or scuffs. 32MB internal memory too that is reverts too automatically when you fill up whatever card you have plugged in. The battery packs last for donkeys. I have never had to swap out a battery due to running out of juice. Once every 4-5 months I have swapped the batteries around just to make sure they get used and they quite happily sit unused losing virtually none of their charge which is good if ever needed.
The above bits cost me very close to £400 back in Jan04, I will sell this on for £150 including delivery not really interested in offers as that is already a good price IMO. It's already fully boxed up so ideally I really don't want to have to rip it all to shreds to take a pic just to box it all back up again but can do if I have no choice in the matter ;)
BTW, for those of you unaware about this little fact, the MP rating of a Digicam has very little in common with the quality of the images you will get from it. It is purely a rating for the amount of pixels it can cram into an image (My uneducated understanding/explanation of course :D). This camera will produce far better quality images than 99% of those cheapo 5/6/7MP cameras you see on offer nowadays :).
Cheers,
Nick :).
