MPUK News

That's right, you're not seeing things - it is i-Live and it's not during an i-Series event! You'll be seeing a lot more of us from now on as i-Live makes its way to you in between events, bringing you the latest news from Multiplay.
Clanservers, Events, Online and community news will all be covered, as well as exciting features on games and interviews with people in the industry. Think of it as your regular Multiplay update with the familiar i-Live team, taking our coverage from the events to a continuous series.
This first Killer-Byte ("killing" the time between LANs!) is all about i26 and the run up to it, as well as discussion of our new Everquest II Tournament. Check out our i-Live website for more info.

Comments / Feedback...
Stop slapping your leg Ross!, every point, slap... ack!, the mic picked it. Also ermm, its a bit static, 8 mins watching two people chatting is not the most exciting thing to watch. Sorry.. :/.
Maybe some game reviews? or something to spruce it up a little?

the content in the killerbytes will vary with some regular features.
You'll always get news about what's happening at multiplay - the latest clanserver, event and online news etc but the rest of it will change - we may go and do an interview with someone at a games company or we may do a review - it's not really stuck to any particular format!
We won't always be in the studio either - we'll go on location and out and about.
YOU CAN NEVER ESCAPE US!

Any chance of an RSS feed, so I can subscribe to iLive, and let my aggregator download the goodness, and all future goodness :)
So when is the Multiplay podcast happening??? ;)

Cameraman, Lighting, Audio, Editing....... everything except presenting really..
Hopefully we will get a chance to try some more interesting camera angles and such at some point, but with only one camera to play with at the moment, its quite dificult to make it "really" interesting.
Cheers for the feedback tho.

Ok, more suggestions/feedback then.
Hows about splitting the show up into smaller sections, articles, features, reviews, news should all feature.
Some suggestions for features..
What does go on @ MPUK HQ between lans?. I have no idea, you could all be sitting there having a nice cuppa tea. Maybe a tour of MPUK HQ? maybe look at different aspects of the company?. Keep it short thou',eg. 1 minute guide to.... Heck do it like BBC3 news, with a small clock ticking down in the corner.
I bet a lot of people do not know the planning that goes into running a Tourney?. Maybe there isnt any?
How does the seating plan work?
Attending a lan? what to expect?
Games Company Interviews?
Previews of new games ? (if possible)
Ever considered reviewing old games?, how do they run on the newer machines?, how do they rate to todays "standards"?
History behind tourneys?
Profiles of some of the Staff/regulars?
You could even cover some of the non-lan stuff.. eg. a brief explaination of magic, poker, yehaw, etc. Or cover the outings (Thorpe Park, Alton Towers, Etc).
Try to establish a format early on, doing random stuff every episode wont work, people like order and consistantly. Eg.
Introduction :- Welcome, explain what is coming up. 30 secs
News :- Info on what is going on 1min
Feature :- Interview with the MD of Multiplay. 2 mins
Game Review :- Retro Review :C&C Red Alert 2 mins
Competition :- Whatever? 30 secs
End :- Explain what is planned for next issue. 30 secs
There you go lots of ideas to think about :D

I'd agree with *Tsunami* about keeping a set format.
Check out commandn.tv they have a short 15 minute vidcast, and they split up the sections with a simple animation

They had domonic diamond and made celebrities look stupid by having 12 year olds humiliate them on street fighter
we cant compete with that.

Last I heard Dominic Diamond was writing for the Daily Star or something. You should get him on the show. And have a 12 year old humiliate him on Street Fighter.
