I HAVE TOTALLY REWRITTEN THIS POST. PLEASE READ AGAIN!

Discussion in #skitrip this eve has led us to a small shortlist of chalets 'we like'. Number 4 seems particularly good value. Please PLEASE look at these links and post here with what chalet you think is best!

1. http://www.laplagnechalets.co.uk/chalet_details.asp?cid=1801 - getting a price on this asap

2. http://www.laplagnechalets.co.uk/chalet_details.asp?cid=1799 - £375 dates we want currently reserved for another group but 'becky' will let me know if it becomes available. No flights and shiz included.

3. http://www.laplagnechalets.co.uk/chalet_details.asp?cid=1625 - £539 next to ski runs but doesn't seem so 'luxury'. Also clarification needed on the 'extension'. Is it outside?! Flights and transfers included.

4. http://www.chaletfinder.co.uk/viewproperty.htm?pid=27103&detail=1 - £395 seems quite nice. Does free transfers from local train stations. No flights and shiz. In la coches though which is a lower village of la plagne.

5. http://www.chaletfinder.co.uk/viewproperty.htm?pid=28626 - £444 uber but no flights and shiz included. In la coches though which is a lower village of la plagne.

I think finding out the price of the geeked out chalet is at least necessary :)

More details for the uber chalet (altho I guess the net conn must be a new addition as it doesn't seem to state it here) This site is a bit more detailed with the prices and suchlike... £375pp catered not included flights?! HELLO!

The chalet is currently on option for another group for that week however the week before and week after are available for £325 per person. If your dates are fixed then i will keep an eye on the chalet for 12 March for you and let you know if it becomes available, the cost for that week would be £375 per person.

I can recommend La Plagne as an excellent place to ski. I've been a number of times and its ace. Remember to get right up to some of the further glaciers while your there - they are usually pretty empty and quite challenging.

I've been to La Plagne, it is ACE for skiing. I seem to recall the night life wasn't brilliant, but hell, we make our own :D

At the very least this should go down as an option for 2007 :)

With the group we have, I'm not remotely bothered about nightlife, as you're right we make our own... just need a handful of decent restaurants as there WILL be at least several restaurant nights out.

La Plagne sounds good to me :)

Ok I shall bring in my experience to this party :)

Morzine in March will be **** for snow. It was poor in 1989 when I went, it will be even worse these days. La Plagne on the other hand is properly high, and when we went in March 92 it was brilliant for snow. Some utterly fantastic runs too :)
