Not a Multiplay problem, looks like Punkbuster is screwed.

Lots of threads on BF2.org forums about the problems - http://www.bf2.org/forum/viewforum.php?f=1

Do i get a refund for time lost, if so who pays?

I think this is relevant as you are an official EA partner, its not my fault that i cannot play afterall.

As i see it, you should refund/credit me, and claim back off EA/PB your loss.

Let me know please Multiplay or i will be taking my future business elsewhere.

We dont / cant guarantee third party products. Unfortunately as such we will not be giving any refund for time loss. You would need to talk to any such third party who was at fault but without knowing the exact details of the failure Im unsure what the outcome of any such claim would be.

Thank you for the fast response, it was exactlly as i antipated.

I know you guys have to cover your arses, but customer loyalty goes a long way.

If you cannot give the service as paid for, what happens then?

I amongst lots of others have paid for a 'Ranked' server, at the moment you are not providing that service, so who is going to compensate me, sorry to go on but money does not grow on trees, know what i mean.

We are actually providing the hosting for a BF2 server, with ranking provided by EA, Gamespy and Punkbuster. We are at this time holding our end of the bargain by making available your server to the public. Any issues with the "officialness" of servers is the responsibility of EA and its partners GameSpy and Punkbuster

Unfortunately its very analogous to us hiring you a car and then the road M5 being closed for a few hours due to an accident i.e. its beyond our control and there's nothing we can do about, you have the car so we fulfilled our side of the contract.

So we are providing the service you are paying for. The fact that a third party issue is temporarily preventing you from using the service that is there is out of our control.

I know what you are saying, and you are right, but that does not make it any easier to swallow :-)

Anyway, it seems whoever is responisible for the f**k up has sorted it, as our 'Ranked Server' is now working ok again.

thanks for your speedy replies, other than this your service has been perfect, i hope we can continue to have a happy partnership. :-)
