im just in the process of getting this to work.. (full version).
First issue was that after installing it said, error, security module not loaded and bombed out. Oddly enough switching to win2k compatability mode got it to run.
Second problem, its awfull and slow, set gfx on lowest ran smootly but gfx looked like doom (the original) ser gfx higher so that at least it looks a little ok and its awfull, like running through supergule..
Im downloading the 1,1 patch now, although i have heard reports from people that after installing the patch 1.1 the game wont run now in either compatability mode or normal mode :(
anyone else gettign this issue?

was talking to the guys in game about this today.
apparently it ran like glue on a 6800GT p4 3.2ghz with 1gb of memory @ low detail.
a punter came in and moaned he couldnt get it to run with dual 7800 sli's and a dual processor....
i guess even having topend PC's dont guarantee no problems...
my rule of thumb, if the demo runs like treacle, then i stay well clear...

Interesting engine. It appears to be a good game to use for GFX card benchmarking because it is so bloody slow.
From the release note:
Fixed a problem where players could fall under the map after pressing ESC while climbing a ladder.
Cute.

The engine is made by Touchdown Entertainment, formerly Lithitech. They made the AVP engine and Jupiter engine (No One Lives Forever ASIHW).
They have always had one problem though, coding sounds. Quite often when a new sound is played it can cause a short delay as it caches to the memory more apparent is its done a HL2 with the sly autosaving to cover up the fact its loading more of the map, however though this game was made to run on a 512MB card dont think the top end GPUs are the problem (6800GT etc.) its just cleary a very memory intensive game.

Uses about 500MB of RAM and runs OK on my system, just hit the autodetect setting, put it at 1024x768 and it's fine. Odd jitter but not very often. 2600XP + 6800GT + 1GB Crucial RAM. So if people with higher can't get it to run properly either they're ramming up the settings or their systems are infested tbh.

Odd - I got a perfectly acceptable frame rate on a 7800gtx with everything maxed out (including AA/AF). I do have 2gb of ram though.
It's a great game , if a little short :)

runs fine for me, almost everything maxed (mediums on particles, shadows, and something else), no AA or AF (AA is suicide with it imo, 4x makes my x800 cry :( ), and in 1024x768
will run in 1280x960 but i cant be arsed with the slowdown at times,
this is on an fx55, x800pro, 2gb
Edit: also, is anyone else finding the amount of smoke and particles from bullets on walls and such when in fights a tad annoying?
