is it just me that has BAD control issues with this?

in the fps section without any keys depressed my guy just rotates on the spot:confused:

It was actually pretty good, well i was playing as jack which i found a bit tedious really,
but then i got to kick the living crap out of a couple of T-rex's at once as King Kong and all was good :D

Its certainly different anyway.

Oh and i had no control problems, except for the new take on camera angles, i fealt like i was playing sands of time or something, much more like a movie than a game.

it's a saitek keyboard i'll bet. in device manager (by a process of trial and error) disable all but one of the keyboard USB HID until you're left with only the plain keyboard functions. all should be normal with this.

Now i've played it, I can't say i'm overly impressed...

There was nowhere near enough content in the FPS section to make an adequate decision as basically all you have too do is shoot a few pterodactyls and throw a few spears and you're done. Movement seems a little floaty and it's a little odd not having a weapon in view for the majority of the time...
The Kong section seemed to almost be on rails (possibly because it seems to use a similar interface to the recent PoP trilogy) and I don't like the idea of scrolling the mouse button to do... whatever 'rage' does...

I'll wait till the final release to pass judgement but it doesn't look like even Michael Ancel's involvement is going to save this from it's movie-tie-in fate :(

mpuk use their ftp for the demos, as its alot simpler than signing up to stuff like fileplanet to download it, plus its a fair bit quicker...
