Surprised no-one has posted this yet, the new NFS game is coming, and its coming in HOT!

Looks superb, and is due Nov16, although this date is on the US website, so not sure about EU release as play.com have it down for Nov25.

i found the black edition on amazon.com this morning. not sure if i should order it tho incase there's a complication between uk and us releases ala underground 2

yes i am excited.

also the site in you're link is the old one, go to needforspeed.com to see what the new city looks like as well as some of the rides.

overall impression is its a lot more gritty then NFSU and FINALLY FOR ONCE DAY RACING!

+ With NFSU2 you could simply swap between the US and EU version simply by installing the different patches, i might have to order this soon.

- But the chart US games come in cruddy boxes with ****e CD cases... i would hang on a bit longer till some UK suppliers get ahold of them...

Looks like EA's new tactic is too offer up 'special' editions of their games for silly money but with souped up extras that will probably unbalance the game (specifically in MP)...

Black & White 2's Tiger debacle was the first, this looks too be the second...

NFSMW: Black Edition also in Europe Thursday, 06.10.2005
NFSMWThose who asked themselves if the Need for Speed Most Wanted Black Edition will also be available in Europe can be reliefed: We got the confirmation from EA that the Collector's Edition is not North America only and will also be released in Europe.

Need for Speed Most Wanted is shipping for all platforms (also Xbox360) on November 17th - also the Black Edition. So we can expect the BE to be released in Europe together with the other versions on November 24th.
