Artic monkeys are certainly very good.
But this new indie sound is getting a bit repetitive to my ears.
Aardvark
19th October 2005, 16:33
What the... HOW are the Arctic Monkeys repetitive?!
SilentMike
19th October 2005, 16:43
I didnt say they were repetitive.......
What i said was the whole new indie sound is getting on my tits...
Though there are a few which are superb like the arctic monkeys and the rakes... the rest can get lost and come up with somthing a little more original!

12 months on, and I think I did pretty well... ;) After all, only a Mercury Prize winner up there, quite a good call I thought :D
Also, Jamie T for Mercury 2007. You heard it here first!
Afty
9th September 2006, 17:48
Yeah, I quite like Jamie T's stuff too - but I've only heard 2 tracks so far and he sounds like the kind of artist who could get rapidly cheesy if he's not careful.

Am I right in thinking that it was Arctic Monkeys who won the Mercury Music Prize recently?
