Just got this new camera phone. 2 megapixel autofocus camera with flash and memory card slot up to 512K, MP3 player. Standard other phone gubbins. Really rather pleased with it. :) Free as an upgrade, and stops me from buying the digital camera I was contemplating getting.
The dock at Canada Water (It's got a panoramic mode as well :))

A bit o/t but how is the phone to use? I want a new phone within the next month and I'm torn between the k750i and the samsung d600 which comes out in a few weeks.

Best phone out there imo.
Although the only irritating thing about it is the text message inbox fills up rather quickly, theres a WORLD of space allocated to games/photos etc, but sod all to texts :/

It's certainly impressive for a phone. How does it compare to a £200ish digital camera for quality?
I was considering getting an ixus 40 but may not bother if there's not much in it...

There's a probably a fair bit in it. Especially when you start taking darker shots.

having used every phone camera (seriously, every one ever released in the uk) id still rather use my ixus 400 - took funcking stonking shots 100 times better than any phone camera

Have you had a chance to play with the samsung D600? It's just I've turned into a samsung phone whore and my past few phones have been them and I like them. They seem to be able to display things like .docs, .xls and .pdfs which while a bit pointless, is quite cool. But if the sony is THAT good I might have to get that one.

At the moment, have absolutely no idea what it's actually like to use. Only actually had it 24 hours or so. (Yes, Baz, I'm slow. Sorry.)
Will update once I have more of an idea on usability.

Ryv, can you post a picture (not panoramic) of something normal for comparison? Say like your work desk or a table or whatever.

Thats a lovely picture, but I am never going to buy a Sony Ericsson again. The main reason is I use to own a T610, after 1 year the joystick controller thingy died, I had to get it replaced.I now have a K700i, had it about a year, and the joystick controller thingy is going the same way. Unresponsive, works occasionally, and is damm frustrating when you your trying to use it. Oh, and the phone has Amnesia, picking random phone numbers from my phone book to "forget". My next phone will be some other make.

Well I got this phone when it came out, the very day infact and it was as buggy as hell.
So I took it back and got a nokia 3230 which was the worst phone i have ever owned in my life, incidently it's now for sale and if anybody wishes to pay for the priveledge of an experience akin to ripping out there toenails let me know!
So after some crying I got the K750i again, and what can I say? How wrong was I? it's a fantastic phone the UI is fast and smooth and it syncs perfectly with mac, my whole address book and calenders synced over my 3 devices, really removes any need for a PDA.
and that camera on the phone saved my arse when i forgot my charger on a recent trip, phone does well in daylight and the camera is really non instrusive to the phone features.

I've often found the unresponsiveness was down to the software on the T610/T630 being generally ****e, slow and unable to keep up once you know your way around the interface and move around it like a demon on acid...

i had a k750i.. was a good phone.. but it felt a little slow to me.. and sounded a tad crap with my car kit..
now i have a 6230i.. brilliant with the car kit. Camera not as good obviously, and allot more simple in general... but has everything i need at the moment.

Being a stick-in-the-mud, I'm going to wait until 02 release the Nokia N70 on contract. Could I have some opinions on the phone please?

ive got this phone too, everything works fine and i think it has more functionality than my OLD samsung e700.
my only gripe is that sometimes the os makes the screen go funny only for it to right itself again.
another thing is that if i hook it up to my PC and i dont disconnect it properly, i cant use the memory stick...i have to turn it off then back on again for it to work :( but the camera is great.
(ive got the silver t-mobile one with the slidy bit)

I have the W800i the white and orange one with all the walkman stuff on it, and its great, the software seems to run much faster on it that the 750, but i prefer the way the camera is coverd on teh 750

havnt played with an n70 yet
i'd advise getting a special "just replace it if it goes wrong" warranty tho, as a micro drive on a phone will cause LOADS of headaches.
Work used to do this "service" (i always did it for free on the sly) for an extra £10 at point of sale- if it ever went faulty you got a replacement in 3 working days:)

I've had my k750 for a while now. It's really an amazing phone. I just ordered a 1GB Memory Stick for and and intend to load it up with movies for when i am stuck out in the middle of no where on duty over the next few months.

I've been looking for a new phone and have narrowed it down between the K750i and the Nokia N90.
I've found a couple of movie clips - Gallery Video (http://www.ttr2.com/modules.php?op=modload&name=News&file=article&sid=136&mode=thread&order=0&thold=0&POSTNUKESID=574349ee8c527949aa01add78068b25d) and Restaurant Video (http://www.boreme.com/boreme/funny-2005/wedding-p1.php) - made on the N90 that shows off the video capability, but the quality is too good for a mobile and I suspect its been enhanced digitally.
Can anyone help me with the N90? Are the clips representative of the phone?
Cliff.

Its a brilliant phone i sold 2 of them today with a margin of 400 quid each (margin is commision dependent on rate) so 7%of that is around 56 squid for doing not much :)

nais pics for a phone tbh
considering the pic size is bigger than my monitor can fit in, once u reduce it to a more appropriate size it'll look even better...obviously lol
sweet!

if you work on margin, i reckon you work for P4U?
It it's always poor form to discuss commissions in public:p:

I just played with making a Horizon picture
Taken with a Nokia 7610, which imo takes some very nice photos, if you don't move it around at all when taking the photo.
Here is my attempt, i know its rather mismatch in colour, but it kind of works...
taken this morning at around 8am waiting for the bus.
