Guess I'd best speak to the management next weekend :). I hate to think what the price tag would be though for that conference centre.

I think it would be a waste of time and money tbh. If you're going to Alton Towers you can go and enjoy the ride, drinks etc. and chill out. If you're going to a LAN you go and play computer games, veg in the mornings etc.

Combining a LAN with some other activity is pointless because the huge cost and logistics of putting on a LAN simply add to the cost of whatever activity it is... you would be better to do a LAN one weekend, then follow it with a trip to $activity$ the weekend after. The costs would be almost identical for the end user, but they would have far more time away, and everyones focus will be the same.

I think it needs to be done, even if its just a one off LAN event. It would have to last a few days and include some sort of access to the theme park, say for a day.

Then it could be an all in one LAN and MPUK at AT weekend.

Im not sure AT would work as a regular venue though, but it sure would be cool as a one off.

I live, eat and drink for AT and Gaming so bringing them together cant be a bad thing can it?

I enquired about their pricing for their onsite conferencing centre a few years back and it was very high

I dont think this is a bad idea nor do i think it would be a good one either...

U wouldnt see me at my pc for queing for rides so that would suck....

But on other hand what would be more exciting than aving a lan at alton towers and staying in there wicked hotel lol

So if it goes ahead and price is rite ... you will see me there lol

But me personally I still think the Butlins idea would have rocked, think of the pics peeps would come back with lol and the poor kids aving a holiday to find a 1000 lan peeps turning up lol ..... its all good
