Hi,

our server crashed last night and was offline until I manually restartet it.

MPUK offers "[...] automatic restarts on server crashes."

Can someone of the staff please have a look what's going wrong?

Thanks in advance :)

Whoops, wrong forum, sorry.
Can someone move this to clanservers?

Looks like the machine crashed. We will schedule an engineer to go in an investigate.

You can restart ur server using ClanForge at any time, an engineer is sheduled to go in tomorrow.

This is a huge delay for the pricing of the server.

Thus this decreases our paid uptime, what about extending the contract for a day or two?

This is not really something to be discussed in the forums but as the machine has only been down for a total of a few mins after which you could have restarted ur server I feel this is unlikely to happen.

the bf2 servers are still very unstable and unpredictable, as you can appreciate we try our best to give you an good service. a few hours (if it was hours) downtime is nothing to be honest.

You should have had a notification email ( assuming you are server owner ) that the machine will be offline this evening while its tested in addition 1 day credit will be added to the service for the inconvenience.

Auto Restart still does not work.

Additionaly, the Server keeps crashing in the main gaming hours from 19:00 - 24:00 more than once a day.

And I cannot sit 24/7 in front of the Interface to wait for the server to crash :(

@Freelancer: The only reason for me to lease a gameserver is the ranking. I do run Linux unranked BF2 Servers - they are crashing once a week, not several times a day.

PS: I also noticed in the Stats Log that the CPU is maxing out at >96%.

I cant find any cpu stats for a server on said machine spiking to the value you are stating.

These support forums are for informal support and general enquiries if you have a specific issue you need to email into clanservers@multiplay.co.uk.

FYI: Servers crashing are auto restarted in almost all cases the exceptions being:
1. Machine crash.
2. Continued repreated crashes.

As such servers will never fail to restart under normal operation, there will be a reason for it not restarting.

As mentioned above, to progress this issue further please drop an mail into clanservers@multiplay.co.uk

OMG, please just listen to me.

The Profile is NOT crashing contineously, but WHEN it is crashing, the Server is STILL not being restarted.

To show you the 96% Max-Out:

I post these issues here because the email support needs days to answer - but ok, I'll try again.

Where's the 96% max out? The graph only goes up to just over 50%.

If your talking about the Max value recorded ( shown in the figures ) then thats easily possible. When a server is starting it will use as much CPU as it can get its hands on but this is so brief it doesnt even register on the graph and is nothing to worry about.

No one is arguing that there are no cases where its not restarted just that under normal circumstances it is.

As you are aware there has been an issue with the machine you are on which has been causing it to crash and hence #1 I listed above is a likely cause for the "no restart". This matter is still under investigation ( again as mentioned ) we are hoping a fix that is estimated to be applied on saturday will cure the crashing.

If you have had a ticket raised that has gone unanswered please let me know the number and I will chase it for you as this should NEVER be the case.

Hi Killing,

there is just no answer from eMail support. I got an automated answer on September 15th, thats all. No real reply.

Server is still crashing day by day and does not restart.
