Okay,

A repost as somehow, we arent getting support on this, it was fixed a few days ago, have you rebooted.....

Well to this answer and many other have replied, yes we have rebooted and NO it still isnt working

Swear Filter does not work, it stops after two or three warnings, without kicking the player.

And also negative scores, one minute it kicks on over 20 which it is set up to the next it kicks after a score of -2

So obviously something is wrong, and this needs to be looked at, i have looked at the forums, loads of times, and see people saying it dont work, and that the servers have been rebootes, but again no help with this problem, only oh it was done a few days agao, have you rebooted, its working on my build.

Well this isnt good enough for us, our MH number is MH2782, is it possible to have a look, at this, and let us know what is wrong with it.

As we have it in addons, and as far as we are aware it is set up to kick after 3 words, but isnt.

We have players taking the piss because they know nothing can be done, and it is getting to a stage now, that there is that much language on there, why the hell should we run a server which members dont enjoy playing on.

Also what is happening with the ban list, why does it get reset, if a person gets banned, we want them to stay banned, not be able to get back in later

As you are well aware we have only just got back from i25. As a temporary fall back if you are unhappy with the way it works simply remove the addon and go back to basic rcon.

we are currently rthinking of removing our services elsewhere due to the length of time we have asked for help on this, and recieved none

That would be your choice of course but be aware that I write ModManager in my spare time and hence when I'm away its a bit unfair to expect issues to be fixed instantly. I'm always trying to enhance / fix issues but time is a factor.

All this said I am back now, so if you would like to pop into irc #modmanager on QuakeNet some time tonight we can see if we cant track down the issue your seeing.
N.B. We have a test server so it wont be necessary to disrupt your server.

I quite understand it if the problem was for everyone, but it isnt and i will quote in the orriginal thread i posted of what you said......

This was fixed a while back a restart should be all thats needed.

so i did a restart even tho the servers restart about 5 times a day anyway, your nmext reply to someone else with the same problem was........

The bad work issue where fixed last week as far as we know.

so according to you it is working and should be working on our servers, these posts were over 5 days that people have been asking for support.

Now if you had said it was still being coded or didnt work then we wouldnt be worried we just disable the check until it is sorted, but you have stated in numerous posts that it is working, and all we have been asking for for about a week is support to get this working.

Is a week to long, as i dont know what support we are entitled to on a managed server am used to working with unmanaged and sorting out my own problems as soon as they arise.

I really dont know what is wrong. The original guy who raised the issues popped in to #modmanager the night after and we found a problem which was then pushed out to all machines. So I can only assume you have a different issue and hence it will need to be investigated.

As far as the time goes yes I left last tuesday and wasnt back on my feet here till last night.

I took it on myself to write ModManager to help out the BF2 community as the basic admin was sorely lacking unfortuntally with all unfunded / open source developement work, done in peoples spare time, delays are inevitable.

If you had a server issue i.e. not starting etc then you could report this via the normal channels and Multiplay would deal with it in a timely manor but issues with 3rd party software falls out of that remit and on to the developer which is in this case me so can be subject to delays sorry :(

okay fair enough sorry for being a pain, i will take it off the server, to save any aggro, and will just see how it goes without it and see if the admins can cope with the trouble, if not i think we will have to go done the unranked route, where you get the full daemon and is already working fine

well it is finally sorted.

Thanks to steve, the problem was we had the corrected version of modmanager, yet it was picking up a spelling error in the coding and ditching it.

so now steve has replaced the coding and now all is working.

Im sorry but its outstands me where some people get off with there rudeness. Killing has comitments else where yet he spends his private time enhancing OUR servers. NO WERE IN YOUR CONTRACT DOES IT SAY ANYTHING ABOUT MOD MANAGER. Have a little appreciation for the things people do for the comunitity and if something you have doesnt work and you cant be assed to wait for help to fix it. Just remove it, instead for giving the people who put themselfs out in the first place a hard time.

I am still having this problem, i know you prob busy with other things killer, but i been idling in #Modmanager i dunno how many times, with no result.

In fact just trying to get someone to chat to about it is hard enough, never mind finding the fix :)

Killer or Steve can one of you guys help me with this please.

Thank you

Well just idling in there wont get u an answer. You also seem to now be alone in experiencing the issue.

Either actually ask questions in #modmanager or post the exact details of what your seeing here.
