Is it possible to use ModManger to stop certain GUID's connecting to our server?

It's a bit annoying seeing people you've banned coming back on the server, because the ban list gets reset.

Any way we could use ModManager to stop certain GUID's?

Thanks.

We are having the same problem. You dont seem to be able to permanently ban somebody.

This is bad news if we catch someone cheating or constantly base raping.

Thats due to a bug in bf2's banlist management where it gets wiped. Hopefully it will be fixed in the next bf2 patch

Untill then. Could we not do a on join look up of the hash key/GUID against a list in modmanager.con

Seems a trivial pyton script to write. You do a on join look up with the reserver script for clan members. Should be a walk in the park to do the same thing but reban them instead.

I have been noting baned players keys and copying them into a word document with the players name. I have also asked the other admins to email me the details on anyone they ban.

if you have the keys, you can use BF2CC to add them back on.

however we have only 3 banned players so far (not counting the self inflicted TK noobs)
