Issues With Modmanager

Okay,

Here are the issues we are having.

Swear Filter......

3 warnings, and then nothing, and people know it is doing nothing so it makes them do it all the more.............

Can someone confirm if this is broken, and if so is it being worked on?

Kicked for negative Score

Players getting kicked for one teamkill, where can you change this as our teamkills was set to 6, but one teamkill is enough, or is this coming from the kick on negative score command, that we didnt have in our config?

If it is indeed a bug, is this being looked?

This was fixed a while back a restart should be all thats needed.

we have already done a restart, when GeeDee had to replace our power supply, and windows got corrupted and had to be reinstalled

i posted earlier saying that we had the same problem with kick for swearing...it gives 2 warnings and then no more. it also doesn't kick. the server is booted most days and has already been done this morning and still the same result

on another matter....when a player is kicked for idle time or ping or manually they always get the same reason.

don't remember it word for word but runs something like -

"you have been kicked by an admin or for exesive teamkills"

any ideas killer

It comes up in game, there is a default of 5 secs i think before it will actually kick the player, but issues the warning msg straight away (Green writing up the top left) .

The msg you refer to is the one after you are kicked from the server, the game is telling you a default msg, not the actual kick msg.

This prob don't make any sense, but i tried :)

That is the default kick message people always get. I believe EA are looking at it in the next patch but it can't be changed. Modmanager is set to display a reason in the top of the game chat just before they get kicked, so when the screen freezes they do get the correct reason there.

The swear filter thing I know doesn't work on our server and hasn't since it was launched. Just non-stop warnings, so I think that might need looking at :)

And u have restarted since thursday?

yes geedee had to restart it, due to changing the power supply over, and then he had to rebuild the server, cause of a fault

He's been at the lan here since thrusday so I doubt that he would have done that yesterday. Be wise to check by just doing a restart.

well both servers were full, both been restarted.

Yes me to, still getting same, 3 warnings then nothing, seems the same as it always has to me, no change here.

And server gets restarted atleast once a day so aint that

been in...have got 2 language warning then no more...no more warnings and no kick...so i guess that means it doesn't work :rolleyes:

If you use PB to kick then the message shown in the BF2 gui after being kicked can be customised.

basically "exec PB_SV_Kick [Playername] [Reason] [OPTIONAL: Private Reason]

if done ingame add "rcon " to the front of that.

I added that in as an option in my rcon program for bf2 www.bf2rcon.co.uk
