View Full Version : MM Request: Keeping squads on EOR side switch

Can a MM module be created to assist or replace the BF2CC functionality for auto team switch at end of round? What would be nice is to keep the squad structure intact as part of the switch.
I haven't looked into this at all myself, but if the ability exists to determine the squad arrangement before the switch, and methods exist to "push" players into a squad once the team switch is done, then this should be doable.
Anyone got the gumption to try this if it is possible?

Well, phooey. According to the current state of the BF2 Wiki, the player object has .getTeam and .setTeam(t), and then a .getSquadId() but .setSquadId(t) is missing! Oh, DICE, whatcha thinkin'?
team switch will be possible if bf2cc can do it.

Oh, yes. Team Switching is an option already for BF2CC. My group used it for a while and it is very cool to just straight swap everyone at the end of the round. However, the loss of squad integrity was too much pain and we've stopped using it.
I don't think the squad piece will work unless DICE implements the .setSquadId method of the bf2.PlayerManager.Player object.
