Server password enabled?

Sorry if this is a newbie question, but I have given a new profile for our BF2 server a game password - restarted with the new profile (which works fine), but it doesn't seem to be password protected... do I have to enalbe this somewhere or something?

it sounds like your profile is set up to be ranked.

EA do not let you add a password to a ranked server, there for if you set a password, it is hardcoded to ignore it.

Create an unranked profile and you can password it. Create a ranked profile and you cant.

oops, whilst you're here.. how does one newbie make it unranked?

You have to create a New profile, but select 'Conquest (unranked)' from the Template drop-down menu.
