hi,
I have a ranked multiplay server.

excuse me if i'm being stupid here, but could someone explain (or point me in the right direction of existing posts relating to) the installation and setup of bf2cc and mod manager?

I've enabled the add on thingy in clan forge, and i've downloaded the bf2cc client and connected to the server using rcon mode. I can see all my settings etc in bf2cc, so i'm presuming i've got that bit right.

i have a few questions:

1.do i need to do something with modmanager scripts and my server? I've seen some forum posts announcing new versions of scripts etc, reading the supplied documentation it mentions putting the scripts in the server directories etc? does this apply to me? i'm confused about this

2. Assuming i have the connection bit correct, i'd like to create a "limited" bf2cc login for people to have access to kick and map control only. Is this possible? i've tried to add a new group in bf2cc's "admin" panel but i cant see where the newly added groups go. I add a new one and they dont appear in the group dropdown.

Any help appreciated

Chris

Multiplay servers are kept up to date with new ModManager release automatically often before release as I wrote it / maintain it :)

For limited access you will need to people the basic rcon password ( ensure u set this in ClanForge ). This will give them list, kick and ban rcon methods but not much else. Unfortunately atm BF2CC doesnt support this low level priv password so this is strictly for rcon only.

sorry Killing, are u saying there is a way of limiting users to kick ban map change?
I was hoping perhaps that you coudl use the admin/game passwords as I have found no obvious use for the game password yet.

The "Basic Rcon password" you find in ClanForge provides users with the ability to kick and ban players yes. There is no change map as there doesnt exist that functionaility in the server.

No thats an RCON password for use outside of ClanForge, just CF has nice easy way for you to set it up :)
