We never had problems with our server until I added this modmanager into our main profile.
Machine: opt43
Server ID: 5112
First of all.
The reserved slots are a mess.
But this is off course because BF2 servers don’t properly support it.
The player kicker doesn’t kick.
The game starts when there are 10 players.
During this period, if you say a kick or ban word, you get warned.
But after the warnings, it doesn’t kick you.
Also, since we have installed the modmanager something happened that we seriously never experienced before.
The server just stops.
The server name turns grey in clanforge.
I can start the server again, but it worries me.
Is it not better to uninstall this modmanager until a BF2 patch and stabile version comes out?
If you read the docs the clearly states the reserver module is BETA is even disabled in the standard config, if you wish to use it then be prepared to its failings.
Just checking your log the kicker seems to be working fine:
[2005-08-16 18:09:48] Info: Kicked 'Hgs-CrazySniper'[43424734] => 'Sorry 'Hgs-CrazySniper' your are being kicked ( ping too ping too high )'
[2005-08-16 18:31:51] Info: Kicked 'RPIMa_Will'[44201954] => 'Sorry 'RPIMa_Will' your are being kicked ( ping too ping too high )'
If you can reproduce this please let us know.
That could well have been due to a machine restarts on windows machines due to windows updates that happened today and as such may be totally unreleated.

We also get the same problem, and after speaking with muldoon, we both worked it out to be a problem with modmanager, altho it couldnt be pinpointed to what.
What happens, is that when having it on it appears to lose rcon connection, and not allow you to log in to your servers or anything, and also after about 1/2hr it locks the server, crashes it, and everything, and not until you take the modmanager coding off can you restart the server.
Sorry I don't understand what you said there can u rephrase it.
Note: There is nothing in MM which can prevent u starting your server.

I had modmanager on the server, and it kept crashing
I had muldoon look at it, and he said the only thing he could think it was was modmanager, as you couldnt login to rcon livecontrol or nothing.
so we took off modmanager, and everything worked as sweet as a nut.
so muldoon, said it was modmanager.
Unlikely with all the other servers running it. If you can provide an real info on this I'll look at it but sounds like an unreleated issue tbh.

well i aint the one with the info on the coding, so i am unable to do anything to tell you any difference, so i will be keeping it switched off.
you could also speak with Muldoon, and ask him what he thought, about it, as he was another who took a look at it

well our server seems to restart every six hours?
ive just dissabled the reserver to see if its that.
i understand the next patch 1.03 will have a private slot function so it may be worth waiting!
at least ours does restart and not lock up!
reserver has nothing to do with restarting / crashing of the server bf2 is simply quite unstable with large player numbers :(
