help for numpty

I am a complete numpty with regards to server admin as I have only just rented a server. I have read lots of threads discussing modmanager and bf2cc and how great it will be and what i will be able to do.
Now i see it has gone public and I need someone to point me in the direction I need to go. An idiots guide if there is one, if not what do I need to install and where. We have been running our own counterstrike servers for a couple of years but I have been delegated to sort out our bf2 server. It is a ranked server and needs to remain so.

You're right about information being sparse, but trawling through a few threads here has helped me get it going. You will need to be familiar with changing config settings to get it to work i think.

Basically, the first thing you need to do is edit your config in clanforge and add Modmanager in "Addons" and then restart the server.

After doing that you will have access to "Modmanager.con" in the drop down menu of the config display. That is where all the settings for MM are, and if you want to add bad words and change other settings, you can do so by editing that page.

So far, from what i've gathered, some of the info is a bit sketchy, but i'm sure MPUK are putting something together to help everyone out.

Also, you can edit the announcements, Idle Kick time, and Max Ping kicker by clicking on the "Settings" tab in the profile.

To get going just select the addon and restart your server.
