Ok I've added the modmanager and restarted my server, downloaded the latest Bf2cc and tried to log into the server, but cant.
Now either i have entered something wrong, which having used BF2CC before i dont think i have, other than perhaps the username or password, so my question is, what username do i use is it the same as clanforge? and the password would be the given admin password?
I'm fishing here because i've tried all of them and still got no where fast.
:(

The problem is probably the port you are using. You need to use your admin port, which is your gameport + 99.
So, for example, if your game port was 100, your admin port would be 199.
I'm unsure about the username, but the password would be the same as the admin password set in the profile, yes.
Hope that helps.

Ok thats sort of worked, now it brings up that the pyth scripts are not installed and takes me to the BF2CC page which then explains how to add them to the server, i would think they already are but what do i do from here?
I'm sure i've read another post about them but i cant seem to find it?

If it says that the python scripts aren't installed, it means that the ModManager AddOn hasn't been installed properly.
Do you have multiple profiles? Are you sure you added it to the right profile if you do? Is your server currently running that profile? Most importantly, has your server been restarted since adding it?

OK i know the modmanger is installed and the server has been restarted as i now have ping time and server announcement in the profile section of clanforge.
When i try to login to BF2CC is says:
Required script version = 4.2
installed script version = unknown command in BF2CC
Bf2cc will now open a browser on how to install Python scripts to your server etc etc.
I have one Bf2 server and therefore i can not mix profiles up.
Thanks for your speedy response, its frustrating me slightly as i wanted this from the start!

OK, currently you do have 2 profiles for BF2. If you click on the Profiles tab, the drop-down list at the top of the new page shows you all the profiles that you have and are able to edit.
You have 'Copy of MH2684 - RANKED' and you have 'MH2684 - RANKED'. You're server is currently running the latter profile which doesn't have ModManager added to it.
What I have done is changed the profile that your server is running to the 'Copy of..' one which is running ModManager.
Hope that helps.

Thanks for that, now can i only run it in client mode? because i wish to add admins and MP's to the control side and also the auto admin controls dont seem to work, as i wish to add the preferred clan tag etc.
The readme with the Bf2cc is crap to be fair, doesn't give you any idea of whats available etc.
Therefore could you point me in the right direction or tell me where to regain the functionality were meant to have?

At the moment, BF2CC will only run in RCON mode. The other mode requires that a daemon (a program) be running in the background on the gameserver machine. The reason for this is that we don't really want other processes running on the gameservers, other than the gameservers themselves. I think this is correct, but I'm sure someone will correct me if i'm wrong.
We are hoping to impliment some of the functionality that the daemon mode offers soon, without having the process running in the background.

Some of the auto-admin fuctions can be done through ModManager. If you have a look through the modmanager.con file in the Config section of the Profiles, you can get extra options.
