Check this little l'INQ out ... clicky (http://www.theinquirer.net/?article=25296)
Sony and Massive are alledged to be incorporating real-time advertising into Planetside.
As The Inq points out, this is a futuristic warfare game ... just WHAT adverts are they going to put in there? The majority of stuff (Red bull, Ford, Nachos, films) will just look ridiculous in the context of the game.

as seen in swat4 ( http://nationalcheeseemporium.org/ ) and splinter cell 3, in the US.
to neutralise it, add the following lines to your C:\WINDOWS\system32\drivers\etc\HOSTS file:
127.0.0.1 ad.madserver.net
127.0.0.1 imp.madserver.net
127.0.0.1 media.madserver.netor just127.0.0.1 madserver.net not sure if all 3 are required as in the first one

check out the latest swat 4 patch, in game advertising that sends off info telling advertisers which player was looking at what poster and for how long.

One thing is for sure; Durex will not get much of a sales boost from this.
