Not sure how to reproduce this on demand (maybe it happens everytime from a zero player start?) but I just noticed as the server was being seeded nearly everyone seems to be put on one team, and it stayed like that when game actually kicked off (above the game start threshold).
As soon as people started getting killed it evened up, but as I just saw it happen and all the flags were capped before the teams were even.
Autobalance was on, and MM smart autobalance enabled.

I have noticed this happening since the last patch on our server - no as bad but more people joine either the US or EU sides and only get swapped to the side they should have joined on when they die - even if they are commander or squad leader.
Is this a modmanager/server setting that I have messed up ?

Sounds like you have a corrupt config their somewhere. Is this a multiplay server and if so whats your order number ( MHxxxx ) and I'll have a look.
Looks like you had been playing with your config on MH3492 RedYeViL and borken it. I've now fixed it so you should be good now.

Has clanmatch been replaced by autoswitch ?
Yes it has, restart your server to pickup the changes.

do we need to remove all ref to clanmatch, and set autoswitch to 1 for team swap ?
Not if you have one of our servers ClanForge will do it all automatically :)
If your not using ClanForge you will need to update your modmanager.con file with the new settings to maintain team swap at the end of round.

HI, yes the sever is a Clanforge server (MH3492), but I still see refrences to clanmatch in the modmanager.con, even with a newly created profile
this is the end of my modmanager.con
mm_rcon.addLockedSetting "sv.coopBotCount"
mm_rcon.addRestrictedGametype "bf2.gpm_coop"
modmanager.loadModule "mm_clanmatch"
mm_autobalance.roundSwitch 1
The clanmatch line has been added automatically, and I can't remove it (it just keeps adding it in if I do)
Any help guys ?
There's no need to worry about that, although I have updated CF to remove it if its found.
The only required setting you already have "mm_autobalance.roundSwitch 1"

Thxs K - but I am still having problems with the autobalance - more people join the US side at the start of the game.
Just watch someone join with 7 plrs in, 4 on US 3 on MEC and the new player joined on US (making 5 on 3)
Hmm, whys it always the simple things that get missed. Have a good look at your config:
sv.autoBalanceTeam 0
It helps if you dont disable team balancing :D

Yeah thats the setting that was on the profile that was running at the time I think.
in the Ranked profile I have that set to 1.
well u set that to 0 and you get NO team balancing.

dont think I'm being very clear, with sv.autoBalanceTeam set to 1, players join the server in this order
US, US, Mec, US, MEC, ie the US team always has 2 more players that the MEC team.
Team balance works, but only after people have died not when they Join
so when the server starts on a 16 plr map its 4 on 2
I've found join off by one issue on join. The fix will be in the next release of ModManager.
