We are still getting lag spikes tonight and its nice to see the support is responsive.
The pings on the server are jumping as high as 200 which is ****e for a Game Server.
I belive we about 5 differant clan servers running on this box :)
Incredible differance when you compare our dedicated 50 player BF2 server to this 50 Player ranked one chuckle.

My server has this awful jerky lag where planes jump back and forth in the sky and same with infantry on the ground i had to move boxes but ive noticed it one or two nights on this other box, the lag doesnt affect the pings or the server stats/performance but it affects the players in the server and it sometimes displayes connection problem 3 or 4 times fast on the screen.
Not sure if anyone else has had the same problem but ive also noticed 2 demo files being recorded live in my files section altho ive got demo recording turned off and set to 0 so according to MPUK admins there not my files just ignore them... Does that mean ive got some server on same box making demos that i can see that could be causing this jerky lag that i cant do anything about and should just ignore them...

We havent noticed a great deal of lag on our bf2 clanserver, its just the amount of crashes on mh2729 that are sudenly occuring each day that worries me (win32)
If you want to report lag etc you need to either talk to an op in IRC #mpukhosting and / or email in clanservers@multiplay.co.uk with a network trace from winmtr.
Note: lag issues can only be addressed when they are happening.

Yup thats one of the 3 email addresses that it took a week to get a reply from once we had paid £350 for a server so i very much doubt we will get a reply about lag issues.
Emails are responded to in 24 hours, and as I explained there's very little that can be investigated over forum posts. If you want to get things sorted email in if you dont well.....

Sorry to correct you Killing, but we will endevour to answer all emails within 1 working day. That doesnt mean we will always succeed. However, emailing multiple times about the same subject will not get you a response any faster and will serve only to bog us down.
That said, if you are having ping issues, please do the following:
Download http://winmtr.sourceforge.net/winmtr_bin.zip
It is a connection diagnostic tool. Unzip it. Run it. In the HOST box, enter the IP address of your server without the port number.
Let it run for at least 10 mins while you play your game. If after you are finished you experienced ping problems, stop the trace, and click Export TEXT. Save the file and send it as an attachment to clanservers@multiplay.co.uk We can then proceed from there.
Sorry yes Muldoon I wasn't clear there, it should however never take anywhere near a week. If its more than 2 working days drop into IRC #mpukhosting on Quakenet and raise the issue with an admin.
