Isnt that the conspiracy behind the USS Philadelphia or something? At the end of the war the US navy began experimenting with tesla coils, I believe the story goes. It was rendered invisible.

Btw I'm probably talking out of my arse valley, I cant see pics at work :(

EDIT: the pic decided to work, and I've got nothing to say on the subject. Never followed WOW, and probably never will.
