JPG Preview

I have a problem with JPG on my machine. usually when i select a JPG a preview appears at the side, in fact is did this with all pictures. now its refusing to show jpgs, but stil does bmp, gif etc

i thought is was my machine being wierd, but my friends says its happened on his machine before.

im on windows 2k

i know this sounds like a small problem, but it annoys me when seaching though game screenshots for a particular one.

that's because win2k can't display jpg as preview

it can, because it used to

i know it cant save into jpg though paint without office, but i know for a fact it can show a preview.
