Okay saw the movie today and can happily say, it rocks. best batman movie ever and i cant see how a reviewer could say it was camp. Anyway onto my only real BIG gripe with the whole thing.
Okay so the bad guys have the Microwave Emitter that will turn all the water to steam (i think) thus releasing the halucenagenic (spelling :\)
Anyway, why does it only boil water in the mains? I mean its microwaves so would it not boil that water that makes up most of the people. It would fry everyone within range if it was powerful enough to do that. Anyone have any ideas that will explain this away? or did they just "forget" what microwaves do? or have i missed something :D

I thought this was a really good film, very dark but also kept a lot of the classic batman trademarks. I will be adding it to my collection when it comes out on DVD.

id swear he hadnt directed it. Guy called Nolan i think.
*edit*
it was NOT tim burton who directed it (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0372784/)

Excellent film, back to what Batman should be IMO.
From what I've been reading this is a "start from scratch" Batman film, rather than a "prequel". No correlation to the previous ones. Can't wait for the next :)

Absolutely superb. Take little bits of it tongue in cheek, and it ROCKS.

apart from a few minor inconsistencies with the story i enjoyed it and tbh i thought they couldn't have done it better as it went back to the dark side of batman which made it great

Inconcistencies with the other films you mean? Batman Begins follows the DC comics more closely, seems they are rewriting the story in a kind of "Ok, Burton told it this way, lets do it right this time"
Of course wether or not you think they are doing it "right" is down to your taste, but personally if this is how the rest of th films are going to be then I cant wait.

A friend of mine who is an avid Batman fan said it wasthe film he had been waiting for for 32 years. Superb!
Not onlu does Bale play a fantastic Batman but he also gives the best representation of Bruce Wayne I've seen in any film.

aye it kicks ass :D def one of my favourite films this yr, but for me burtons version is darker in tone, but bales batman is much better :) cant beat nicholson as joker for me ;)
being a more favoured film doesnt mean its a better film tho :) to me they rank alongside each other

yes an excellant film.
im quite worried about the next film involving the joker.
Can they honestly find a better Joker than the job Jack Nicholson did

depends if they do it, of course. i heard mark hamill mentioned in another forum, as he did the voice on the animated series. wouldn't be too bad a choice IMO, but could it just be time to let batman go out on a high, or to do others even if they are remakes?

oh god, batman and robin was best summed up when i read "a silly neon fest that should have been a film but a very badly put together pantomine"
Batman begins on the other hand was a carefully crafted masterpiece that had me on the edge of my seat all the way through it, brilliant plot topped off with a brilliant lead character, Christian Bale is the best british actor ive seen in the last 10 years

He also played Jim in Empire of the Sun, which I didnt realise until I imdb'd his name.
Actually, I tell a lie, I've seen the really old one, with that shark...and the great acrobatics up the ladder to get the shark repellent..that was win ;p
And he's also been in 2 of my favourite films - Equilibrium and Velvet Goldmine :D

After watching that film, I've decided I'm going to be upgrading from my 1.2 P reg corsa to the new batmobile as my second car.
Insurance company: OK sir, has your car been modified in any way?
Me: Self-installed power steering, tinted windows, cool adjustable-seat-combo-weapons-console tunnel, and alloy wheels.
Insurance company: Oh I'm sorry sir, you've called the wrong department. Transferring you to a dead-end line.
:D
