Crackpots at Cardiff University have once again magically come up with a formula that denounces today as 'The Happiest Day of the Year.' (link) (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/wales/south_east/4618209.stm) It may just be cynicism as I'm sure I did bad enough on my maths exams today to not make the uni I wanted, but doesn't this formula coincide remarkably with the 'Worst' day of the year (link) (http://news.bbc.co.uk/1/hi/uk/4187183.stm), 24th January, exactly six months earlier (and my Birthday :p: ) Or is it that someone at Cardiff university has it in for me?

Intelligent, thought out formulae? Finally learning how to use a calendar? Or revenge/parody of a colleague? Discuss.
