Just finished the game :)

Completed all the missions! Now its time to get all the bonuses and that 60k armour set, plus a few more of the elite skills.

God damn this is a great game :D

then sell your character on ebay for £10, they manage to steal your credit card details which you bought GW with, you get banned by the people from GW, and everyone that was in the party with you gets massive drops of goodies from your body,

ok,
perhaps not, well done, i am still in the desert preparing to assend.

i am really liking the story in gw, but is the thing that you could go back and meet people who are you enemys but at are at that point your friends.

I hate that I have exams and can't play this all the time. The storyline is so addictive, I'm driven to keep playing to find out what's going to happen next.

I'm also looking forward to seeing our high level players start competing with other guilds. :)

Wish I was enjoying it as much as you lot, cant seem to get into it. Everytime I play it, it feels like im playing a massively single player online game. Every zone is instanced, doesnt seem to have the epic feel that WoW does, or the original EQ did when it first came out. I realise they are completely different games but it just doesnt feel like Im part of anything. It seems like no one ever looks for groups and I end up taking bots into some generic zone where mobs pop up from the floor at me, then when I complete it I get some useless spell and some money which I do nothing with.

Maybe I need to play it more, because I've heard good things from reviews and these forums. But I have yet to see anything myself that resembles this amazing game people keep going on about.

Out of interest, are you playing with other people or with henchmen? I find they're both very different styles of play, each with advantages / disadvantages.

The lonely / solo aspect seems to be putting lots of people off, me included. I enjoy instances in WoW, but I also enjoy questing amongst other people, having to work round the fact that theres a party of alliance there, or if I'm having problems with a quest being able to get help with the last bit, and not having to reset the instance to get the help required.

I got to level 10, but haven't felt any desire to go and play the game anymore, to find out what happens, to make my character better in the same way that WoW keeps me playing.

The main problem i have been having is the language barrier. Other than the benefits of being in the MPUK guild i wish i could have taken up residence in a stateside server that way i wouldnt have to spend all day dying because no one understands what anyone else is saying.

Er, Exe you can change to a U.S server you know.
I think it is limited to like 4 changes or something, but you can deffo change your region.

Ahhh fair enough, shame you cant switch as much as you want.
Not quite sure what this means in terms of hardware.
Im guessing this means your chars and all data is shifted from one server to another, hence the limitations.

its not just solo, you can solo or you can grab a party (which you definately have to do at some point) and attempt to do some incredibly tough quests.

I'm in the desert myself at the moment and ouch it is tough :s oh well not long til 20

Either I team up with English speaking players or I use the time to practice my French. Tend to avoid anyone else if I can although in my experience they know enough English to get by anyway.

Maybe they should just suggest that English speaking players to go districts 1, 2 and 3, French speaking to 4, 5 and 6, and so on?

Lol I've been teaming with German players the few times I've been in a party - surprised to find my German still makes sense :D

Level 15 atm. Only party if I have to, as I always end up being the healer (grr) :p:
