The good people at Novalogic have giveth unto us a playable demo for <i>Delta Force: Extreme</i> (AKA <i>Delta Force One: Next Gen</i> - a now defunct title).

Delta Force: Extreme breathes new life into a classic title, bringing the graphics up to date and making it shiny. If you liked the original then chances are you'll like this as it's essentially the same but ... well... more "extreme". Rock on.

The full game has 60 missions and has new levels as well, the demo includes a snowy multiplayer level, "king of the hill" style, with vehicles to drive and run people over in. Also included is a single player level called "Flood". I'm getting moist just thinking about it.

you have the corrupt version of the demo, as mentioned by blues here (http://www.bluesnews.com/cgi-bin/board.pl?action=viewthread&threadid=57020), it should be 290mb. get the proper one from nova's ftp here: http://www.novalogic.com/file_download.asp?ID=88

in related news, DF-X is meant to be "poor" compared to the original

one link i noticed in the blues comments was this: http://www.brutal-arts.com/ a mod for Jops that changes loads of things for more realism, and improving some models, etc. could be worth a shot at i24 to bring a bit of fresh gameplay to the game

is it me or is this demo an unfinished product?

a few things struck me as odd.

no zoom on sniper rifles?
ability to chop down trees from mile away?

looked very similar (too similar) to far cry?
