How long will this last?

I havent really looked into it, but how do they intend to keep Guild Wars running without asking for money?

Does it have the draw to actually pull people away from WoW or Everquest?

They plan to release one or two expansions each year, which will continue the story. Each ones meant to have a simalar amount of story etc as the origanal version, and will probably be priced only slightly cheaper.

Yeah i think it will pull people away from other mmos, at present the lvl cap is 20, however they are VERY condensed levels(towards the end anyway).

The level means very little really - as far as I can tell its more a means of appealing to rpg fans than actually influencing the game. From what I've heard its possible to do 1 level / hour up to the cap (on average). What will keep people there is meant to be the quests to get more spells, and the PvP system.

naa, you can't do 1 level per hour i in my experience, but i guess if you go through the quests quick you might be able to.

the game is about tactics, its about building characters that are skilled in a specific area.

i love the fact that there is no grind, its superb, you can play the story missions through and get to 20 just as easy as slogging it out against monsters.

yeah, funded by expansions, adding new areas, new jobs and other such things
