If I buy this game in a couple of weeks, will I still be able to attempt to catch up? I hope it's not like WoW in that if you miss a couple of nights you et left behind. I'm just too busy with work at the moment

Theres a maximum level cap of 20, which is in theory reachable in about that many hours. However, you won't have as many abilitys as those who have played more - spells aren't linked to level in the usual way, more as rewards for quests. However, as *every* spell is meant to have a use, and you can only take 8 into any single battle (and you hit that amount within an hour), thats not a huge problem - you won't be as flexible as others, but you'll still be useful. Also, you can create a max level character who can only enter PvP instances. This can be from a template, or based on the spells unlocked by your other characters.

Basically, what I'm saying, is yes, you'll be behind , but able to catch up to be able to play with others within a few days, or just join in at the top if your only interested in pvp.

At least thats how the game is meant to work. I've never got past level 10, or had a character for more than 2 days, so I can't honestly say.(I've not got round to starting on retail yet).

Awesome. I have an ETERNITY of work to get done this weekend, but I shall order it on Monday. It sounds to me like WoW with less shine, but more fun gameplay

The good thing about GW is that major travel CAN be done on foot but is also done on warp gates.
Once you have visited a major area or town you can warp back there at any time.
None of this hop on my griffin crap :)
Also you will find that there are many patient people who are willing to help you out with missions/quests they have already completed more than once.
I know i do a lot for lower lvl chars.
Seriously, BUY this game :)

On another note, the MPUK guild PLZ make the cape pink, so many sheep out there in regards to capes.

Oh and something Rob forgot to mention, lvling up gets considerably harder lvl10+ the xp required to lvl each time is huge.
