You've probably, and most definitely saved my career as a GuildWars punter. I bought the game, played it for an evening, found it pretty frustrating and have since ceased playing it. This information you've provided though pretty much explains why i'm running around with a +20% death penalty and unable to figure out what the hell is going on.

Leaving too early is a schoolboy error. I did it yesterday, but what is a good level to leave?.. I'm currently lvl 6 and thinking seriously about moving on, cannot find any more quest :S

I left at lvl8... it's much tougher out there so many places you just can't get to on your own.

Doesn't take long for things to be worth 0xp either which is harsh

3 things that were a must for me:

1. The secondary profession.
2. The signet for non-priests ressurecting party members once during combat.
3. The belt pouch for storage.

You can buy all of those AFTER searing.
Altho im not so sure about the second profession, havent tried that.

True but they're free in this stage, buying them later is a waste because they're very easy quests to obtain them.

I think the secondary profession thing unlocks the quest to move onto the next stage so is a must, that might not be the case though.

You should aim to leave preseering around 7/8 6 if you are quick :)

I left ascalon at lvl 4 and im fine.

But you probably missed the lower level armour set that you get from collectors, probably missed a whole bunch of exp from quests, and id imagine a few skills to boot.

Stay in pre seering as long as you can i say, its perfect to get everything working and ticking over just how you want it.

Nah i bought the skills afterwards.
I did most of the quests around i just didnt pisss about

I am level seven in ascalon right now. Have finished all the quests. The important things i've noticed about pre-searing is getting your primary skills from all of your trainers (there are three trainers for a total of five skills if i am not mistaken). And also to get your low level armor.

I'm one of those people who is a perfectionist, so i havent spent a single attribute/skill point because i dont know what to spend them on and i dont want to waste them.

You get a refund point per 240xp that you earn, so dont worry too much about where you place your attribute skills, as you can edit them later on :)

I left on level 4 i think, and found it hard at post seeing till i begain leveling up and a guild member came to help with first mission
