At work we have been running a VPN server on Windows 2003 happily for some time, however over the last few days some people can not log in, they get Error 800 when trying to connect, the problem is we have users logging in fine to the VPN. We are using a Cisco 1700 supplied by our NTL
Any help is appricated.
Cheers

did you try to conenct to that server with IP insted of dns name, maybe your dynamic DNS is refreshing slowly. Check your dsl/router/modem if it supports VPN.

SYMPTOMS
When you try to establish a virtual private network (VPN) connection, you may receive the following error message:

CAUSE
This issue may be caused by a router that has outdated firmware. For example, this issue may occur if you are using a Cisco router with firmware that is dated 2000 or earlier.
To verify that this is the cause, look at a network trace. The Cisco device advertises a 0 window size in the TCP handshake on port 1723.
RESOLUTION

We only connect to the VPN server by IP address the server has a static IP.
We know its not a firmware issue since other users are logging onto the VPN fine
