Ok.
All machines running XP Pro
Machine A switches from using Simple File Print Sharing to normal, and a local user account is created on the machine.
Machines B-infinity try to connect to A. When prompted for user/pass, the details of the newly created account on A are given.
Machine B connected ok.
Then other machines starting giving the following error
Multiple connections to a server or shared resource by the same user, using more than one user name, are not allowed. Disconnect all previous connections to the server or shared resource and try again.
Any existing shares/sessions/connections to other machines were disconnected and retried. No help.
Machines were not in a domain, just workgroup. I've talked to someone about it just now who is suggesting this is a bug that's been around since NT4, but he doesn't have a solution.
I'm -very- sure I've had similar situations which had no problem at all with multiple connections to a share using a common user/pass. I have no idea why this problem occured or how to fix it.
Anyone ?
