Recently bought:
Netgear WGT624 Wireless router
2x Netgear WG311T Wireless PCI Adapter
Installed and stup the router fine and connected via cable great, did the setup.
Got my mums notebook working ok at 54Mbps, after removing the Intel PROwireless software.
Installed a PCI into my spare pc as per instructions, works ok, at 18Mbps !
Installed the other PCI into my main pc used just the drivers and windows wireless got 108Mbps first time.
Problem is that the network comes and goes about every 2 minutes, leaving me with pretty much no connection that i can rely on. Im wondering if there are any tips i need to know about, being a total wireless nubtje at the moment :)
Currently have the router under the TV in the lounge and my 2 pcs on the floor in the next room. I think the router needs to be higher ? We are having the builders in tomorrow to convert the loft, although not for the router :p: will it help by having it up higher ?
As i say, any tips appreciated, ggwpthx :D
