Hey all.
After some discussions on IRC a group of us have decided to learn to snowboard before next years ski-trip.
Lessons will be taking place at Xscape in Milton Keynes mainly due to its centralish location and excellent apres ski (i suppose that should be apres board, or possibly ass :D) facilities.

for prices.
Probably a recurring thing about once a month. Please post your interest.

Recomendation is to definatley get some lessons and regular trips to a local dry slope/snow dome.
That way you spend more of the trip learning to get *better* than learning to board altogether.
This was my technique on this trip and it worked very well.
(apart from the first day of whiteout doom and being waist deep in powder.... :( )
(and unless you're Ryvita hax hax hax hax hax)

good idea, i think the only thing that puts me off is dry slopes and the fact they chafe :/

I do indeed possess great hax. Took me about 2-3 hours from strapping on a board to linking turns down a blue run. :)
Consider that somewhere near the faster end of the learning curve. :)

weight on front foot weight on front foot WEIGHT ON FRONT FOOT!
still amused at the occasion when psym / njoroge were watching/coaching me on a run, and while trying to do a turn I lost control and pivoted a full 360 degrees. Amusing but 'wtf'. Lessons and coaching = good.

Unless you're in powder:
Weight on back foot, weight on back foot, WEIGHT ON BACK FOOT!

Hi all. I'm new about here. Love the look of the Ilans and can't wait to go to the next 900+ one!
I've always wanted to learn to board/get out of the UK to try it somewhere. Can I add myself to this list?
