Lo all

Was attempting on friday night with Smart Monkey and Cabe and white night to configure my adsl router..

anyway its died :(

I can telnet into it, (so can you if i give you the details) but if I go into the setup via http it comes up with an error memmory allocation fail, corrupt file.

So, at the moment it has an ADSL signal, is tuned into it, but isnt allowing anty info to pass through it, although it can be pinged and telnet'ed into.

Catch is, if telefonica deiscover i have been looking at it, they wont fix it.. alternatively if they dont, i am screwed anyway..


ho hum, zhardoum, offline for a little moment till I can get an engineer in to replace it..

PS, it may be a power spike, we had a storm sun morning and it stoppped working during the storm, its concievable it got spiked as the power was fluctuating badly at that time, or it might just be me.

either way its dead..

zhar, all i can say is, i got to the help menu, didnt change any settings :)

happen to back up the standard config B4 you started playing with it?
Sounds like the Eprom holding your settings has had a fit. however the error message you are getting is good, it means the hardware should be Ok.
you got the IP and passsword to telnet into it?
if you can mail it to me I'll see if i can at least get you a starting point. If you have IP's for telephonica's DNS, and WINS servers that would help.
oh and the moon on a stick, ...........................
