We are looking to run an "official" DOTA tournament. Rules yet to be finalised.......
More details when I return from Mother Russia :)

If you're looking to play against well organised teams, -AP is a nightmare way to go unless everyone is very experienced. It will result in some brutal losses for teams not knowing what to expect.
-AR is more fun.
I'd also suggest it's 5v5 and that we consider using either DM or ID to liven up the fun a bit (though again these options bias a little in favour of the stronger team).
Will this be a fun tourney on sunday? I hope so - cos then I can play! Oh, and it will need a scheduled break from 3-5pm like every other fun tourney for the super-mega-MPUK v Punters football game.

-AR has to be done or else it's just silly silly cheese.
also no other modes because most people won't have played with these. I certainly have never played -dm or -id.

make it a fun tournie - most of the people that play DOTA are staff after all.
but yes, i concur, -AR will make for fairer games.
unless afty gets centaur
then fleeeeeeeeeeee:p:
