Guild Tabard

Almost have enough money, need about 1g more.
If anyone who hasn't donated wants to send in some silver to help cover the rest, that would be great.

As for the design, apparently Towneh has one?

Clearly it needs to be teal background with orange foreground (you cant link direct into that page, grrr) and border.

Issue is the logo - the pirate one is themed our way, but so are a few others.

Just use the design we had in beta, it was nice :D We found that using the detailed logos just looked crap on some characters its best to KIS.

That design does look like nice, but does a look a little "alliancey". Looks great on a goody little human, but on a huge green skinned orc?

10g is needed by the guild master (me) to design the tabard. After that, each member can buy a tabard from the appropriate vendor for 1g (90s with honoured reputation).

This is what we had in Beta, but perhaps may not suit the horde side that much, seems more like Alliance colours.

Saying that, everyone and their pet panda have been using a red colour scheme for the horde tabards =P

The problem, certainly with that shade of blue is that it looks very "good". Whereas the Horde are sterotyped as the evil side.
Maybe a darker shade of blue would work.
Liz, you're an arty person, play with the tabard designer I posted further up.

As people have said, the Flash designer is a bit crap, but how about blood red with gold trim? Maybe a bit obvious.

One benefit of a symbol on the tabbard is that it reduces the chance that another guild somewhere might have an identical tabbard. On the other hand, I can't see any good symbols. :)

Bear in mind, a tabard can look good on one character but absolutly **** on another. You need to get a female and a male character in the guild designer at the same time to test out different designs.

The logo's all suck, and are far too complex for the body structures. Keeping the logo simple has more of an effect as it can be seen at distances, like the upwards arrow.

Similar colours also don't work too well, like red and darker red, you just wont be able to see it.

But as Lucifa said, play around in the guild tabard designer ingame rather than some flash one.

Just had a look... it's a bit limited and also I have no idea what it'll look like on any race male/female as I wont start playing till tomorrow :D

But I was leaning towards a black background, with a dark blue border and logo. The logo being the two intertwining snakes as it looks uber cool. (10 up from the bottom, middle isle - if you can't see it).

Go with the beta tabard. Tweak the colour if you wish but I think it looks good and reflects MPUK colours.

Lucifa is guild leader, and while democracy is nice, in the end it was his decision, and what's done is done. I agree that the colour scheme doesn't match the Multiplay scheme, but there's nothing wrong with the dark green and white scheme either.

Also as was discussed on Guild chat, if anyone feels like submitting another 10g, I'm sure Luci will change it :D

I will sate my PvP appotite with duels and a healthy raid now and again. And in future battlegrounds will make being on a PvP server pointless.

The tabard was made in dicussion with other officers, none of whom liked the blue. I was not the sole decision maker.

Of course, you won't be having a lot of people contribute... as, pointed out in game, a lot of people are quite happy with the Tabard. So, why would they contribute to something they don't want?

There were plenty of people on guild chat saying they didn't like the current talbard. Won't be parting with hard-earned silver for it in its current state I'm afraid.

Ok fine, lets put it to the vote.
Wizzo, can I view voters if I post a poll? To make sure only WoW guild people are voting and adjusting as necessary if others are.

Note: for the tabard to be changed we will require another 10g AND the guild to be reformed.
That is disbanded, a new charter made up and signed, and all members reinvited. It's not possible to change the tabard.
You won't have to buy another tabard for your character though, that stays regardless.
