To be fair Afty I did consider it briefly, but then I thought of several reasons not to join the Al'Akir server. They are.

I had a lot of newbie friends who joined Zenedar.
Im totally new to the game and MMO games. I wanted to experience it without freebies without being artifically helped thro' the game.
Because we're all new, we are discovering things for the first time. No beta players within my small group of friends on that server, potentally to spoil it for us.
MMO is about making new friends, If I'd joined the Hoard on the Al'Akir server I'd just keep my current friends. This way I get to meet / play with others.
Zenedar started 2 days before I started the game, the highest lvl person in our guild is lvl 32 (im lvl 20). There are few very high lvl players at the moment playing on this server.


The thing is, I am learning the game from my own experiences not the experience of others. I've made mistakes like attempting an elite dungeon on my own or in too small of a group, mistakes I might not of made playing with experienced players helping. I'm learning my role within the game / party / guild without someone telling me my role. It's all new, it's all good, I love this game. :)

I think Elbonio has started just recently, he must be about your level now. Engineering is a reasonable class, you get to make explosives and mechincal pets initially. Only problem is most of the stuff you make (like explosives) can only be used by "engineers" so there isnt a great market to sell your warzes.

I don't know what level you are, but you should take your professions asap. Otherwise you'll have to go back to low level lands to grind out your gathering skill. It's not a major thing to do this, but obviously levelling up your trade skill while normal leveling is much easier.

Take a little time out (very little time :) and go visit Darnassus. You'll find it in the very west of Teldrassil.
Speak to a guard, and he will mark the appropriate trainers on your map.

Yep - mirrored the profs / classes I am on Shadowmoon - simply causes ive tried out Shaman, Rogue, Paladin and even Warlock and found them utterly rubish! Tried some other profs like Tailor, Enchanter etc too and found them utter monkey-piddle compared to Mage / Herb 'n' Alch

Shooting fireballs up ure backside all the way, and Sheeping things - its a hard life, but someones gotta live out a welshmans fantasy!
