WoW - CD Key incorrect?

Hi all.

I have a customer who wanted to install World of Warcraft in a shops pc, fine i said, as long as he pays for his account and uses the game then i dont have an issue.

he removed the plastic wrapper, i inserted the cds.. loaded the game, got as far as account creation, entered the CD key.. CD key is incorrect.

Its not. as far as I can tell, im aware A can look like R, and the B can be 8 etc etc, but im 100% certain the CD key is entered correctly.

We have fired off an email to tech support, but while we wait, anyone else hear of anything with WoW authentification.. or you think someone has managed to guess this CD key..

Make sure you#re using the Euro signup page and not the US one. I made that mistake... :)

They hav been having issues with some of the CD keys from reading the forums...try ringing tech support probably quicker at the moment as they will have a ton of emails from when the signup page was down.

Should be able to sort it for you over the phone, if your customer is willing to pay the bill. :)

You would think them releasing on the friday they would do weekend cover.
I noticed they do less hours on a friday...I remember the HL2 helpline being open until 10-11pm at night...I think the WoW one is open until the latest of like 8pm uk time something like that.
