Just a quick question, does anyone know if its possible to use NIC teaming in windows? Ie combine 2 or more cards together under 1 IP address for speed reasons?

Cant seem to find anything too helpfull on google but I guess everyone here likes lans so makes sense to ask

i dunno if it only works on intel server boards, but they have an app called PROSet which takes two nic's (could only be intels own, im not to sure) and teams them for load balencing and redundancy, so if one ****s up, the other continues on the same ip.

Windows 2k3 has integrated network load balencing service... ive never used it tho..

Failing that there are plenty of vendor specific solutions that are available for all OS`s.

HP and Compaq definitly do it for their server boards, comes with the RAID building CD.
