Official MPUK Guild Thread

Hello to Everyone Reading this:

This post is to inform you that as of today (07/02/2005), the MPUK guild is being run and operated by a number of Multiplay UK staff and trusted friends. This thread to to allow you to post details of your planned characters and about yourself, as a form of application to the guild. This is to keep the numbers manageable and allow the applicants to be screened by this group.

The guild leaders are Limited, Towneh, Rippsy, Lucifa, Myself and Bonkers, with Lucifa as the guildmaster. We will all be playing as Horde on the same PVP server.

Keep in mind that the maximum number of people we can accept is 20, including ourselves, so that leaves 14 places to be filled. All applications will be considered as long as they are suitable and mature.

Hi

I got this game on pre-order.

I read some about it, been following it for awhile and played alot MMORPG in the past.

NOne have sparked me to stay other than UO.

Alot my friends be playing this whom say it best thing since sliced bread ala same as reviews.

So I can't really say what class or breed etc I be as I totally new to it but I seek to play with fellow uk players do alot PvP and enter a guild.

Maybe I can hang with you lot and get in the guild if I prove my self worthy.

BF1942 had more people in the squad. This is going to be a very popular game and it seems a bit exclusive - almost for staff only as I couldn't see Wizzo and co being rjected if they asked.

Can I be team mascot!?

I played in the original beta (american?).. but didnt really get as far as finding out about the skills etc due to their servers having a world of issues (CHRONIC lag etc).

Not sure i'd like to take a guild place and thus prevent someone else (more hardcore than me!) joining the guild as I doubt I have as much time to play as you guys have had.... but nonetheless some familiar faces to play with would be nice :)

One point to note, the limit of 20 people is provisional until the guild is up, running and organised. From this point it will be possibly be extended by x people to include more MPUK friends etc.

Was proud to be part of the MPUK Guild in the beta, so think I also deserve to beta guild h4x a space.

Hell, I even got my weak Level 17 Night Elf Druid from Darnassus all the way to Stormwind just to take part in an end of beta Guild photo (which kinda didn't happen ... but at least we all stood on a big mountain above Ironforge to watch the end).

Well I can stress that the 20 people max is something that was thought through at not great length, if we reach that amount of signups, im sure we can start to expand.

Anyway -

The above is flexible. I'd be willing to make up the numbers if we're short on a particular race / class / profession, and as long as I know what that should be asap after the retail launch.

Even if there is a max guild level of 5, maybe you could set some guild masters and then call them MPUK1, MPUK2 and so on.

This way you can include more of the MPUK community, just an idea, I expect ill be in my own guild with a few others in the clan (I have not mentioned the name of said clan as that would be down right thread hijacking and i love you all too damn much)

20 is such a tight limit tho, maybe there should be an MPUK guild for staff and then have an MPUK guild for teh public as well, run by one of the staff ?

I just think that we need to include more of the community and i know that it has been suggested that 20 is a starting point, however can I please urge you to have some non-staff making up half that number :) would go a long way in PR and CR

Big guilds work, so long as you keep track of who's in it. When you get to the stage where you run into guild members and you haveno idea who the hell they are, the guild is too big :)

I be playing this game and love to join in with everyone, I have a teamspeak server we can use too which I have paid all for.



What server will everyone be joinging so we can all play togeather.

Elye will be getting into wow first by the sounds of things, then after some discussion there will be a big FO post on this forum saying which server.
It will *probably* be the 2nd or 3rd pvp server as listed alphabetically.
As long as that server doesn't have a crap name.
I'm not playing on one called Kil'Jaaoeodon (etc).

There will be ACTUAL queuing outside the GAME store on friday morning by myself. I plan to be there at 8.45 and wait until the doors open, at which point a Night Elf cover copy will be procured and purchased, followed by a sprint home to install and find a server.

Once a suitable server is found I will phone Lucifa and check,
assuming its a go, the details will be spaffed on #mpukwow

He said it should come thursday but no one can play it as they been informed the servers are not online till friday.

Play pre-orders are renowned for taking a long time, they post from outside the UK mainland, meaning long deliveries.

Yes play.com normally takes 3-4 days minimum to a week. But you get what you pay for. If you wanted it today, go to Game or order it from a UK supplier. If you dont mind waiting a week, order from play.com.

Charter all finished last night (courtesy of me), leader transfered to yours truly (courtsey of Kahless) and the various officers appointed.
Dan and his tfc friend joined last night and Ahu invited some of his housemates who all seemed alright on TS.
Wizzo and Helen should be joining us soon, once they receive their copies.

Still a few people missing invites.

I got on last night after installing and shiz holdups. Level 4 rogue troll atm, death got me in the guild but still noobing it up big stylee on my own in valley of trials.

Won't be on tonight as am working, will be back wednesday tho if anyone wishes to assist me in levelling up quickly :)

Fishing, cooking and first aid do not count towards the total of 2 professions. They are "free" ones that everyone can take.
Herb and Alchemy is fine for a rogue.

Herbs becomes more important for a Rogue in the mid-20's as he needs them for some of his powers he/she picks up later in the levels.

Remember tho, if you have herbs you don't need/use... don't sell them! Send them to Stockpile.

I'd also like to join although I'm having a bit of trouble at the mo, laptop keeps turning itself off (think its overheating) so I can only play 10 mins at a time, I've played an hour or so n reached lvl 3 Mage (Undead).

Got some memory on order for a different machine to try n install on there.

There are 5 or 6 RFC quests, so you might want to get them all first before doing it, so you don't have to return there.

If in doubt, look on Thottbot (http://www.thottbot.com) and search for quests in RFC.

At least that way you can find out which ones you need to collect.

I'm a level 13 Tauren hunter. I think I have a couple of RFC quests in my log also. Elye said I should consider joining the MPUK guild. I'm a casual-ish player though, I've only put in about 10 hours worth of play in the last 7 days.

[16] Slaying The Beast, (from Rahauro, in Thunder Bluff, I think, but Thottbot doesn't agree on this)

Apart from Hidden Enemies, as long as one of your party has the quest, they can share it with you, saving you having to go and get it.
