Simply my mum and dad have bought a new house. its in need of full renovation. My dads liked my networks in previous house so has asked me for quotes for a new network.

This is the ideal time to hide network cables behind plaster work and the like.

I could do the install my self but i dont have the time to spare. If you know of any companies that do this it could be helpful. (the house is in the north, near Bradford)

The key question is CAT5e OR CAT6, I dont run gigabit at the moment, but i probally will in the future.

I would also like to put a phone point in each room, but i dont know how to do this with out daisy chaining from one point to the next which degredates sound quaility after a while.

Cheers

Run cat6, it will future proof the install.

I give you this peice of advice.

You can never have enough network or power points. Take what you think you need and treble it.
